EARN IT, MESUT

UNAI EMERY refuses to cave in to pressure to pick Mesut Ozil just because of the player’s huge wages.

Ozil is Arsenal’s highest-paid player on a staggering £350,000 a week but Emery says that does not guarantee him a place in his starting XI.

'WE NEED OZIL'

BUT Mesut Ozil has been told he DOES have a future at Arsenal by Gunners' boss Unai Emery.

The midfielder was dropped for the club's Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham in midweek for "tactical reasons".

HE MUS-T CHANGE

MESUT OZIL’S Arsenal future hangs in the balance with Unai Emery unable to trust the German in his high-pressing system.

That is the view of Danny Higginbotham after Ozil was left out the Gunners squad which was eliminated from the League Cup on Wednesday by rivals Tottenham.

CAN'T STOP LOVING

FORMER Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on successor Unai Emery as he believes the Spaniard has brought defensive stability back to the club.

The ex-Paris Saint-Germain manager oversaw a 22-game unbeaten run, with his side sitting just three points off fourth-placed Chelsea.

GUNNING FOR THEM

THIERRY HENRY is desperately trying to save Monaco's season, after the Ligue 1 side's disastrous start, and is looking to his former Arsenal team-mates for help.

The French boss is calling in reinforcements and making Cesc Fabregas his top transfer target in January, while he hopes that Laurent Koscielny will solve his defensive woes.

REAL RETURN

ARSENAL could use Mesut Ozil in an attempt to sign Isco from Real Madrid.

The German has been linked with a move away from the Gunners, and a possible return to the Bernabeu could allow the Spanish midfielder to go the other way.

PLEASE TAKE HIM

GUNNERS may have to let Mesut Ozil leave on loan next month over fears that no club will take him on permanently.

The Arsenal midfielder is on £350,000-a-week and the North London side may have to release him on a temporary spell as Unai Emery believes he does not suit his style.

KEY TO SUCCESS

ARSENAL may turn their attentions to Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas after recent blunders from Petr Cech and Bernd Leno.

The Gunners only signed Leno in the summer, but his latest howler against Southampton could see Unai Emery move for the Costa Rican - who is now playing second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois.

ASSETS KING

MESUT OZIL will earn a staggering £45million if he sees out his contract at Arsenal.

The playmaker, 30, signed a £350,000-a-week deal in January to keep him at the club until 2021.

GUNNERS AND SPURS FINED

ARSENAL and Tottenham have been fined after both clubs admitted they failed to control their players during the Premier League North London Derby.

The Gunners bagged the points thanks to a 4-2 victory on December 2- but there were several flashpoints throughout.

'ANTISEMITIC CHANT' PROBED

AN ARSENAL fan was reportedly ordered out of the Emirates last night for anti-Semitic chanting.

The Mail claims he was confronted by a Jewish supporter during the Gunners’ 2-0 Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat to Tottenham after apparently chanting about "gassing Jewish people."

ARSENAL FANS SLAM DAN

ARSENAL fans have slammed Danny Rose after he gloated about Tottenham's derby win last night.

Spurs beat the Gunners 2-0 in the Carabao Cup quarter-final at the Emirates last night, thanks to goals from Son Heung-min and Dele Alli.

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery says 'why not' when asked if Mesut Ozil has a future at the London club

TIME UP FOR OZIL?

MESUT OZIL is just 5/1 to leave Arsenal in January.

The attacking midfielder's future at the Emirates is in huge doubt and Inter Milan are favourites to sign him in the next transfer window.

ROSE PRICKS GUNNERS

DANNY ROSE has put the boot into arrogant Arsenal and says last night’s Carabao Cup win has put the cocky Gunners back in their place.

The England full-back was one of a number of Spurs players irritated by Arsenal’s celebrations following their 4-2 Premier League victory in the North London derby at the beginning of the month.

HUNT ON

ARSENAL and the police are still searching for the idiot who threw a bottle at Dele Alli - as it was revealed there were seven arrests made at the Carabao Cup clash with Tottenham.

Officers from the Metropolitan police are working with the club to try to identify who among the crowd launched the plastic bottle at Alli.
