ARSENAL star Sokratis Papastathopoulos correctly predicted Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would score twice against Burnley before today's game.

Aubameyang found the net twice, as Alex Iwobi came off the bench to seal victory at the Emirates this afternoon.

And Sokratis revealed he knew the Gabon star would score two today - having spent years with him at Borussia Dortmund before they both moved to London.

Addressing Aubameyang, Sokratis asked: "Before the game, what did I say to you?"

The striker replied: "That I would score two. That's true."

Sokratis continued: "I know Auba. I've known him six, seven years. He does this every time against teams like this. One, two, three goals."

Meanwhile, speaking on becoming the outright Premier League top scorer, Aubameyang said: "I think it's cool.

"It's good to know, but I try to look forward because the season is long."

Asked if he'd ever played in such an aggressive game, the Gabon star added: "Wow, never. It was a really hard game.
