Liverpool are four points clear of champions Man City going into Christmas gunning for their first-ever Premier League title.

But Klopp knows an injury crisis could derail everything, saying: "I'm very happy with what I've got but I've always said, you don't know.

"I'll keep the door open. If some things happen then we need to have a look.

"A monstrous number of games are coming up. It is really important that we can react.

"If something dramatically changes we will need to have a look, but if nothing happens then we will not do anything."

Liverpool are already in the midst of a defensive crisis, with Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matip all injured, with Dejan Lovren only recently returning.

James Milner has already been forced to fill-in in defence this season, while Virgil van Dijk will miss the Champions League last-16 first-leg through suspension.

On his back-line, Klopp added: "We don't have that many options anymore because we have two injured centre-halves, so that immediately limits everything.

"We are not that versatile. Yes, [James] Milner can play five or six different positions, that is not a problem for him.

"But there are not a lot of players who can play that many positions. But the situation is OK."

This weekend, Liverpool beat Wolves 2-0 and saw Man City lose 3-2 at home to Crystal Palace as they extended their lead atop the Premier League table.

But Roy Hodgson has sent a warning to his former club, suggesting it could still all go wrong.
