PAUL POGBA has contributed to more goals than any other central midfielder in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
The Manchester United star looks reborn under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
And Pogba banished any ghosts from Jose Mourinho’s reign by helping himself to two goals in yesterday’s 3-1 win over Huddersfield at Old Trafford.
He also bagged a couple of assists against Cardiff at the weekend.
And it means Pogba has been involved in ten goals so far this term - scoring five and setting up another five.
The Frenchman leads the way for central midfielders, with Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva second.
He has also scored five goals but has one less assist, giving him a grand total of nine.
Also on nine is Marseille’s Dimitri Payet, although he instead has five assists and four goals to his name.
However, it’s another Marseille player who leads the stats for midfielders in all positions this season.
Winger Florian Thauvin has scored 11 goals and assisted three, giving him a grand total of 14, while new England international Jadon Sancho has contributed to a whopping 13 goals at Borussia Dortmund.
