Rashford had a particularly good evening as he bagged a goal and assist as caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer marinated his unbeaten start.

Paul Pogba opened the scoring at Old Trafford as he converted a Rashford cross just in front of goal.

But it wasn’t Pogba’s tap in finish that had people talking - it was Rashford’s ability to ease past the Bournemouth back line as he darted in through the right-wing.

Rashford brushed past Nathan Ake as he beat the centre-back before United’s No10 flip-flapped his way past full-back Diego Rico.

The England forward then drilled the ball into the penalty box as Pogba’s good attacking positioning and timing was rewarded as the midfielder netted his third in two games.

As Pogba celebrated the goal, he pointed to Rashford, recognising the large role his young team-mate had in creating it.

Rashford, though was brought off 20 minutes from time for Romelu for Lukaku with fears the Englishman may have picked up an injury.

Two weeks prior Lingard grabbed a brace in Solskjaer's first game in charge as the Reds smashed Cardiff 5-1 away.
