Mesut Ozil’s agent rejects rumours he could leave Arsenal as he insists his future lies at the Emriates
The 30-year-old - who is tied down with the Gunners until 2021 - has been regularly left out of the starting XI this season
MESUT OZIL will be staying at Arsenal and will even look to extend his stay at the Emirates - according to his agent Dr. Erkut Sogut.
The German World Cup winner has been repeatedly linked with a move away having been frequently left out by Unai Emery since his arrival.
The 30-year-old has missed the last two games with a knee injury, while he was also hauled off at half-time in his last outing against Brighton.
He has featured in just 13 out of the Gunners' 21 top-flight games this campaign, but has still created 22 chances for his team-mates - the most in the squad.
Ozil signed a bumper contract last year to keep him at the North London club until 2021, but there has been claims he could be used in a swap deal with Real Madrid for Isco.
However the player is believed to be desperate to remain at Arsenal, with his agent insisting he loves the club and is proud to be a part of the team.
Speaking to , he said: "I would prefer not to speak publicly about Mesut’s situation, but given the recent speculation linking him with a move away from Arsenal.
"I do feel it is important to provide some clarity so we can end this and focus on football.
“Mesut signed a new contract last January because he saw his future at Arsenal and nothing has changed in his mind. He wants to stay for the duration of that contract and maybe even longer.
“Mesut is 100 per cent committed to Arsenal Football Club. He loves the club, shares its values and does not want to be anywhere else.
