JERMAIN DEFOE has reportedly agreed terms on an 18-month loan deal to join Rangers.
The striker has featured just four times for Bournemouth this season, and has opted to try his luck north of the border.
Gers gaffer Steven Gerrard was priced out of a move for his former international team mate in the summer.
But he has renewed his interest with the 36-year-old opting to leave the Vitality Stadium in search of first team football.
Gerrard was in the market for a striker and it is believed the boat has been pushed out to land Defoe.
The former Spurs and England hitman is likely to have accepted a massive drop in wages to continue his career in Glasgow.
Defoe’s salary demands were the stumbling block in the summer but this appears to have been ironed out according to Sky Sources.
Defoe has made just four substitute appearances in the Premier League with his only starts coming in the Carabao Cup.
