BOURNEMOUTH are trying to buy Liverpool’s England under-21 striker Dominic Solanke in a £15million deal.
Eddie Howe has renewed his interest in the young hit man after losing veteran Jermain Defoe and wants cover for his attack.
Solanke is available after the collapse of a loan move to Crystal Palace and can be bought at the right price.
Palace rejected a move for Solanke because his hamstring injury would keep him out for weeks but Bournemouth are not worried as they see him as a long term signing.
Solanke also wanted to give his Kop career a chance by moving temporarily away from Anfield although he will think about leaving permanently if Liverpool accept a cash offer.
Howe has Callum Wilson and Josh King available so Solanke would have to fight for a start but it won't prevent the Cherries from pushing their case.

Brighton and Watford are also interested but Howe is pushing hardest and hopes to talk the forward into a move.
Bournemouth are also keen on right back Nathaniel Clyne on loan to replace stricken skipper Simon Francis, as revealed exclusively by SunSport.
Howe cannot take two players from the same Premier League club on loan so he would have to buy Solanke rather than loan him.
He has yet to feature in the league or cups this season and is deemed surplus to requirements under Jurgen Klopp.
