Tottenham begin talks with Chinese Super League side over Dembele transfer
Belgian international said to be keen on move to China as injuries and competition for places see him struggle for minutes at Spurs
MOUSA DEMBELE is on the verge of a move to China after Beijing Sinobo Guoan approached Tottenham in a bid to sign the midfielder.
The 31-year-old has struggled for playing time this season after limping off with an ankle injury against Wolves on November 3.
According to the Belgian international hoped to move to China in the summer but was unable to secure a move and remained in London to fight for a place at Spurs instead.
Dembele turns 32 in July and would not be the first Premier League star to move to China towards the end of their career.
Although a popular figure at the North London club, the clock appears to be ticking on his time in the capital.
The midfielder's contract expires at the end of the season meaning Tottenham would have to sell in January if they want to cash-in on the star.

Beijing Sinobo Guoan finished fourth in the Chinese Super League last season.
They also have space in their squad for a foreign import after Spanish striker Jonathan Soriano left for Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
Spurs have reportedly been scouting replacements for Dembele for over a year with Mauricio Pochettino reportedly happy to let Daniel Levy decide his future.
Watford's Abdoulaye Doucoure is said to be a target along with Tanguy N'Dombele, Donny van de Beek and Denis Zakaria from Lyon, Ajax and Borussia Monchengladbach respectively.
