A MOODY Alvaro Morata stormed down the Stamford Bridge tunnel after hitting a contender for miss of the season.

Chelsea's stumbling striker scored twice to send the FA Cup holders through to the fourth round in a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

Despite getting on the score sheet for the first time in six games, the Spaniard could have had a hat-trick but for an embarrassing miss.

Morata was three yards out when he scooped an effort over the bar rather than tap into the open goal - luckily for him he was offside anyway.

Boss Maurizio Sarri opted to take the former Real Madrid striker off after 75 minutes.

And Morata didn't fancy sticking around to see any more as he walked straight down the tunnel.

The £60million striker, signed last summer, has lost the faith of Sarri and Chelsea are on the hunt for a replacement.

Morata's early exit saw him miss countryman Cesc Fabregas' emotional farewell at the final whistle.

Fabregas appeared to be playing his final game for Chelsea before a January move to Monaco.

The midfielder was left tearful at the final whistle as the Stamford Bridge faithful sung his name.
