Hudson-Odoi, 18, is out of contract at the end of next season and has told Chelsea he will NOT be signing a new deal after agreeing terms with Bayern.

But the Blues are determined to hold on to him until the summer as they battle an injury crisis.

Crocks to Pedro, Willian, Olivier Giroud and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have left Maurizio Sarri short of options up front.

England Under-19s star Hudson-Odoi has played just 11 times for Chelsea's first team.

Bayern see him as the long-term successor to Arjen Robben, who will leave at the end of the season, and have tempted him to up sticks to Germany.

The Bundesliga champions three times tested Chelsea's resolve with offers of £13.5m, £20m and £30m.

Hudson-Odoi impressed in Saturday's 2-0 FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest and Sarri urged him to continue cutting his teeth at Stamford Bridge.

When asked if moving to Germany would be wise, he said: "I don't think so, because he is an English player.

"He is very young, he has the future. He has a very great future here in England, with the national team and Chelsea. To stay here is better for him.

"I know only that for me he is a very important player. He is very young but now he is improving especially in the defensive phase.

"He played really very well in the last match. I am really very happy with him. I don't know the situation with the club."

With Hudson-Odoi now hurtling towards a Chelsea exit, fans are fuming at the thought of their young prospect leaving.
