DAVID DE GEA put on a goalkeeping masterclass to dent Tottenham's Premier League title hopes yesterday.
The Spanish stopper, 28, made an incredible 11 saves in the game as Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of Manchester United's 1-0 win at Wembley.
But one stop in particular has once and for all proved De Gea's greatness.
The United No1 thwarted Harry Kane in a near-identical effort to Rashford's winner with an outstanding piece of positioning.
On last night's Match of the Day, the panel discussed the difference between De Gea and Hugo Lloris.
For Rashford's goal, Lloris is standing outside of his near-post and is beaten at an angle that should have been impossible for the England forward.
At the other end, De Gea stopped Kane purely thanks to his flawless positioning, as he stood within his near post to ensure he could not be beaten in either corner.
Ultimately the Spanish superstar was able to keep out the powerful effort with his boot.
To the naked eye it was a solid save and nothing more, but when looked at in detail, De Gea's incredible, instinctive sequence was game-winning.
Former England stopper Ben Foster was quick to ensure fans knew exactly just how impressive it was, too.

Foster tweeted: "I see a lot of people saying all De Gea saves were straight at him.
"Please factor in that the guy has some mad sense to know where to be at just the right time, you can’t teach that. Proper goally".
This season, no goalkeeper has made as many saves and kept a clean sheet in the Premier League as De Gea in North London yesterday.
After his perfect performance, United players rushed to social media to share hilarious memes and selfies in celebration of their No1.
Luke Shaw posted a picture of De Gea shutting a goalmouth with sign reading: "Closed on Sunday".
Meanwhile midfielder Nemanja Matic said: "Beware... We are taking over! Huge win tonight! @d_degeaofficial was on fire.”
