MANCHESTER UNITED star Juan Mata will hold last-ditch talks over extending his deal this weekend.
The Spanish winger is out of contract in the summer and free to talk to clubs in Europe this month.
He was set to leave at the end of the season, but new Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a big fan of his.
And Mata’s agent and dad, Juan Sr, is expected to fly over in the next 48 hours in a bid to save his Old Trafford career.
It is understood United will look to give Mata another one-year contract, but try and reduce his £170,000-a-week wages.
The SunSport exclusive comes as Mata was snapped arriving for training at Carrington this morning.
A club source said: “His agent is expected to come over with his future still very much up in the air.
"Mata has made no secret he wants to stay here. The club have dragged their heels over the extension though.
