DISTRAUGHT Hector Bellerin was carried off the pitch on a stretcher during Arsenal's win over Chelsea after appearing to suffer a horror knee injury.
The defender was in tears after going down in an off-the-ball incident halfway through the second half.
Replays seemed to show a ligament next to his left knee SNAP.
Medics rushed onto the pitch to treat Bellerin, 23, while his team-mates watched on nervously.
Arsenal's medical team then signalled for a stretcher and while he was carried off Chelsea star and ex-team-mate Olivier Giroud consoled him.
Gunners boss Unai Emery fears the worst for the right-back, who will undergo scans tomorrow.
He said: "It is his knee and the first prediction is it is an important [bad] injury. I hope no, but it is not positive, our first impression."
Arsenal have been without several key defenders for much of the season due to injuries.
Captain Laurent Koscielny only returned to the team last month following ruptured Achilles.
Centre-back Rob Holding is out with a knee KO while Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Danny Welbeck are also crocked.
Mohamed Elneny came on as Bellerin's replacement in the 72nd minute with the scoreline 2-0.
Alexandre Lacazette scored after 14 minutes and Laurent Koscielny doubled Arsenal's lead in the 39th.
The Gunners held on to their lead and managed to close the gap on fourth-place Chelsea to just three points.
