ARSENAL skipper Laurent Koscielny has not broken his jaw but will require surgery after his clash with Romelu Lukaku, according to reports.
The Gunners skipper was forced off in the second half of Friday's FA Cup defeat to Manchester United at the Emirates after an accidental stamp on the side of his face by the United forward.
It has been feared the 32-year-old defender had broken his jaw.
However, claims he still requires surgery to remove blood that is currently putting pressure on the jaw and the surrounding nerves.
The Gunners have given an update saying Koscielny and bruising and soft tissue swelling to his face and jaw and his situation is being reviewed on a daily basis.
Meanwhile, Sokratis is set to be out for a month with an ankle injury sustained in Friday's defeat.
