Man Utd and Liverpool in transfer battle to sign 16-year-old Birmingham striker Romello Mitchell

Mitchell has just turned 16 and has been in fine goalscoring form for the Blues Under-18's

MANCHESTER UNITED and Liverpool will go head-to-head for Birmingham kid Romello Mitchell, according to reports.

The Championship side face a tough task holding on to the exciting striker who is attracting interest from a host of Premier League clubs.

Mitchell, who turned 16 this month, was on target for Birmingham's Under-16's in their recent 2-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

Mitchell has been in brilliant goalscoring form for the Blues’ Under-18’s.
