Chelsea transfer target Isco caught joking ‘I don’t play because I’m bad’ while sitting on Real Madrid bench against Espanyol
Playmaker yet to start a single La Liga match under Santiago Solari and looks set for summer exit
ISCO was caught joking about his lack of playing time during Real Madrid’s La Liga win over Espanyol last weekend.
Camera footage appeared to show the Chelsea-linked midfielder laughing with Zinedine Zidane’s son Luca, apparently saying: “I don’t play because I am bad.”
Isco was left on the bench as an unused substitute for the 4-2 victory.
And he is yet to start a league game under Santiago Solari ever since the gaffer replaced Julen Lopetegui in October.
Isco has so far clocked up just 520 minutes of action since then, putting him on the fringes of the squad.
But at least the 26-year-old sees the funny side of his situation with just days remaining in the January transfer window.

Reports in Spain claim Isco will wait until the end of the season to decide his Los Blancos future.
But he will demand an exit should Solari be kept on in the summer, with the pair clearly at odds.
It’s reckoned that Manchester City, Juventus, PSG and Inter Milan are all keen on securing Isco’s signature.
But Juve could be in pole position, with Real interested in Paulo Dybala and a possible swap deal.
