Like many of his team-mates, the 23-year-old was refusing to commit his future to the Red Devils under former boss Mourinho.

But since he was sacked, the winger has his mojo back under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United will announce Martial's contract extension before Friday, with the attacker committing himself to the club until 2024.

And it looks set to spark a host of new deals at Old Trafford as a number of star players edge closer towards the end of their contracts.

Striker Marcus Rashford is enjoying a renaissance under Solskjaer and is also braced to extend his deal beyond 2020.

Paul Pogba was heading for the exit door under Mourinho but United will not want to risk running down his contract, which expires in just over two years time.

And finally Ander Herrera has just six months left on his deal but is seen as an important figure in midfield for Solskjaer.
