ASHLEY YOUNG will sign a new 12-month contract at Manchester United after turning down an offer from Inter Milan.
The 33-year-old's deal is due to expire in the summer but he is set to remain at Old Trafford.
Inter were hopeful of signing the England international on a free at the end of the season on a two-year contract and were hoping he would let his deal run down.
United are unwilling to give players over 30 longer than one-year deals.
But understand Young, who currently earns £130,000-a-week, is unperturbed and will agree to stay with the 20-time English league champions.
Young is one of nine United players whose contracts expire at the end of the campaign.
