TOM HUDDLESTONE is talking to Udinese over a bizarre permanent move to Italy.
The Derby midfielder, 32, has been allowed to leave for the Serie A side, 18 months after his return to Pride Park.
Frank Lampard will allow Huddlestone to leave as he's started just two games since Boxing Day.
Many supporters tweeted their confusion at the deal.
One user wrote: "I think Deadline Day has peaked."
Another added: "Weirdest transfer rumour of the day so far..."
However, not everyone thinks it's a daft move, as one Twitter user said: "A true 'regista' finally moving to a league that will appreciate him."
