Arsenal ‘tried to offload Ozil in January at cut-price rate’ but nobody would pay his wages

ARSENAL tried to offload Mesut Ozil in the January window — but none of Europe's top clubs wanted him, according to reports.

The German playmaker was offered to Juventus, but the Italian champions were put off by his £350,000-a-week wage demands.

According to , the Old Lady refused to pay such huge figures back in November.

Instead, Aaron Ramsey looks to be heading to Turin next season, with a pre-contract agreement settled between club and player, who can leave North London on a free in the summer.

They also report his agents attempted to woo Inter Milan, knowing that Arsenal would be interested in signing Ivan Perisic.

Perisic, 30, is known to be ready to leave Inter and could head off in the summer.
