Ramsey signs £400,000-a-week Juventus contract to make him the world’s eighth best paid player
Welshman will move to Italy over the summer after signing a four-year deal with the Serie A champions
AARON RAMSEY has agreed a £400,000-a-week Juventus deal.
The Welshman will quit the Gunners on this summer and has signed a four-year deal with the Italian champions.
His package would take him beyond team-mate Mesut Ozil and Paris Saint-Germain sensation Kylian Mbappe into eighth in the world for earnings.
Compatriot Gareth Bale - who scored his 100th Real Madrid goal last weekend - is sixth as Welsh football relishes having two of the world's top stars.
Ramsey is following in the footsteps of Wales legends John Charles and Ian Rush in moving to Turin.
He took to Instagram to send a message to Arsenal fans on Monday night.
Ramsey said: "I wanted to issue a personal statement for all the Arsenal fans who have been extremely loyal and supportive.
"You welcomed me as a teenager and have been there for me through all the highs and lows I've encountered during my time at the club.
"It is with a heavy heart that I leave after 11 incredible years in North London.
"I will continue to give the team 100 per cent and hope to finish the season strongly, before heading on to my next chapter in Turin."
The playmaker was due to sign a new deal with Arsenal but the offer was pulled by club chiefs.
And the Gunners are set to lose him for nothing after signing Rambo from hometown club Cardiff for £5million in 2008.
Arsenal boss Unai Emery hopes Denis Suarez could be a long-term replacement.
The Spanish ace joined on loan from Barcelona with a view to making the move permanent in the summer.
