ARSENAL reportedly want Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz to replace Mesut Ozil.
The 19-year-old has took the Bundesliga by storm this season and been compared to countyman Toni Kroos.
His performances have caught the attention of both La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Now claim Arsenal are ready to make a move this summer.
Playmaker Havertz has bagged eight goals in 21 Bundesliga appearances with another further three strikes in the Europa League.
But it is not just his goalscoring making the Gunners keen, with the versatile midfielder also producing six assists for team-mates.
The Premier League outfit have had scouts watching the ace over recent weeks as they plot a swoop at the end of the season.
However they are still struggling to get £350,000-a-week Ozil off the wage bill.

Unai Emery has made it clear the winger is not part of his plans and that he wants the former Real Madrid man gone.
But Ozil, 30, has no intention of being forced out of the club and is ready to dig his heels in for another two years if necessary.

French champions Paris Saint-Germain tried to sign him on loan last month to fill in for their injured Brazilian superstar Neymar for the rest of the season.
But while Arsenal were open to PSG’s approach, Ozil made it clear that he has no intention of going anywhere on loan.
He is happy living in London and is not prepared to leave at the first offer just to help Arsenal get him off the payroll.
And his reluctance could have serious impact on Emery’s hopes of landing Havertz, with an already-limited transfer budget of only around £40m unless Arsenal qualify for the Champions League.
