Ravel Morrison reveals he stole Man Utd team-mate’s boots as he blasts club for troubles, claiming ‘they could have done a lot more’
RAVEL MORRISON has revealed he once stole a Manchester United team-mate’s boots - but blasted his old club for his troubles, saying "they could have done more".
The new Ostersund star, 26, has hit out at his former team claiming they were not blameless in his decline from future star to journeyman.
Morrison also reiterated the fact he did not steal Rio Ferdinand's watch as was once claimed, but he did admit to lifting a team-mate's old boots.
Ferdinand had once suggested the mercurial star had nicked his expensive watch - but later rebutted his accusation.
And Morrison told he would never have done such a thing, adding United were quick to pin the blame on him for anything and everything.
He revealed: "It was always ‘Ravel’s done this, Ravel’s done that'.

"The one thing I took was a pair of football boots that the player didn’t wear any more. But watches? Phones? That was ridiculous to say.”
Morrison went on to say he was forced away from the city, with the club believing it to be in his best interests - to stay out of trouble.
But Morrison claimed: “I didn’t need to get away from Manchester.
“There were times when I did something wrong, but often it was just wrong time, wrong place, wrong crowd and it wasn’t even me doing something.
MORE MAN UNITED STORIES
"But because I was there, it was easy to point a finger at me.
“Around that time, [United] were moving other young players to big houses in Sale with their families.
"They told me I had to move to Gorton with my gran because it was further away from Stretford.
"There were a lot of players in that team who had a father and a mother and already lived in a nice area, who were moved to Sale.
"I was brought up by a single mother, but they moved us to Gorton, which is not a spectacular area by any means.
"So I don’t think it’s right to say they tried everything.
"It’s easy to say it, but I think if you asked a few people around the club at the time, they could have done a lot more.”
Morrison went on to say he is still in contact with some United stars, including Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard - but holds no feelings of resentment of jealousy.
He added: “I’m in touch with Paul and I speak to Jesse all the time. They’re doing great.
"I’m not going to turn around and think: ‘That could have been me. That should have been me.’
"Stuff happens. They’re happy, I’m happy for them. I’m not going to be a spiteful or negative person. Life’s too short for that.”
