Chelsea target Icardi gives Inter Milan ultimatum: Publicly apologise or I quit

MAURO ICARDI has threatened to never play for Inter Milan again if the club do not apologise for stripping him of the captaincy.
The Argentina international was replaced as skipper by Samir Handanovic in mid-week and subsequently withdrew from the Europa League trip to Rapid Vienna.
Icardi is also expected to miss the visit of Sampdoria on Sunday as he nurses a long-running knee problem.
And according to , the 25-year-old's days at the San Siro are over if the club do not say sorry for their recent actions.
The ex-Barcelona youth product also wants to stage a press conference with manager Luciano Spaletti and chief executive Beppa Marotta to clarify the situation.
Inter are adamant they do not want to sell the forward - who has been linked with Chelsea and Real Madrid.

However, Icardi is convinced the reason for him being replaced is captain is due to Inter having already decided to offload him in the summer.
Such developments come amid talks regarding a new contract for the player, which have been ongoing for many months.
Wife and agent Wanda Icardi is at the centre of the negotiations but several public comments are said to have angered members of the Inter hierarchy.
Last month she confirmed no offer had been made by the San Siro club and that the striker was "far away" from agreeing fresh terms.
The San Siro club claim there is no link between the decision to strip Icardi of the armband and the current contract standoff.
But this week, Wanda's car was struck by a rock while she was driving near Inter's ground with her three children and she has received death threats amid the talks over a new deal, which expires in 2021.
Having scored 122 goals in 210 games for Inter, there will be no shortage of suitors if Inter do indeed decide to sell their prized asset.
