COVENTRY CITY have been threatened with expulsion from the Football League should they fail to find a new ground in two months.
The League One club has failed to provide an answer for where their games will be played in the 2019/20 season.
The Sky Blues, who face a March 5 deadline, could find themselves homeless in May after a long-running deadlock over their rental deal at the Ricoh Arena.
Their single year's sub-lease to rugby club London Wasps ends in May and there is no agreement in place for a renewal.
Coventry bosses have said the EFL won't allow the team to play outside the city next season.
EFL chief executive Shaun Harvey said the matter was a "serious concern" and that they aimed to secure the club's long-term future.

He said: “The course of action taken this week is with reluctance, but the League has to ensure the integrity of our competitions is maintained and all Clubs meet the obligations that come with being a member of the EFL."
Coventry say their "only option" is to remain at the Ricoh Arena.
The 32,000-seater stadium was built by the city council specifically for the football club and the two organisations shared ownership 50-50.
But, when Coventry were relegated to the Championship in 2001, financial difficulties saw then-owners sell their 50 percent to a local trust.
