BARCELONA have reached their sixth Copa del Rey final in a row after easing to a 3-0 win against bitter rivals Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

With both sides going into the semi-final second leg on level terms having drawn 1-1, Luis Suarez took it upon himself to steal the show.

The former Liverpool star netted twice in the second period, while Raphael Varane scored an own goal in what was a clinical display from the visitors.

Ernesto Valverde's men only had two shots on target during the match, and luckily they had the Uruguayan marksman on hand as he proved to be the scourge of Los Blancos once again.

Real bossed the first half in front of their own fans, but Brazilian starlet Vinicius Junior spurned a number of key opportunities, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen starring between the sticks.

And they were made to pay for their missed chances immediately after the break after Suarez was found by Ousmane Dembele, who squeezed his strike past Keylor Navas.

And it was 2-0 in the 69th minute when World Cup winner Varane turned in Dembele's cross with Suarez lurking behind.

But the 32-year-old wasn't to be denied of doubling his tally as he cheekily chipped his penalty down the middle of the goal after he was fouled by Casemiro inside the box.

Barcelona will be trying to win an unprecedented fifth straight Copa title in May, while Madrid are yet to make it to the final since winning the Cup in 2014.

Real will have an immediate chance to exact revenge on Barcelona once again at the Bernabeu on Saturday afternoon.
