KARIM BENZEMA suffered a double midweek blow as his home was burgled during Real Madrid’s El Clasico defeat to Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.

A police investigation is now said to be underway in relation to the incident as they look for more clues on who was being the the raid.
It rounded off a miserable night for Santiago Solari’s side who are in danger of not winning a trophy their season.
Real are nine points behind leaders Barca and will have to win the Champions League for the fourth year in a row to avoid a trophyless campaign.
Benzema’s misery is the latest incident in which a footballer’s house in Spain has been targeted while he has been in action.
Barca new boy Kevin-Prince Boateng’s house in the Sarria area of the city was hit recently.
Paris Saint-Germain defender Dani Alves fell foul of criminals when his place in the swanky Paris suburb of Neuilly-sur-Seine was robbed during a home win over Montpellier last month.
His team-mate Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting’s house was broken into twice, once while PSG were playing in November and again in December by burglars who fled when they set off the alarm.
Skipper Thiago Silva was burgled in December while playing at the Parc des Princes.
And while Liverpool were held to a draw with Bayern Munich at Anfield two weeks ago, forward Sadio Mane’s house was robbed with burglars getting away with watches, mobile phones and car keys.
It is the second time thugs have broken into the Kop forward’s home during a Champions League clash.
While playing against Maribor in 2017, a gang was thought to have broken into his home first before smashing a patio door at the nearby address of team-mate Dejan Lovren before they fled when a woman shouted she was alerting the police.
