Sandro ended speculation over his future by penning a new long-term deal until 2023 in December.

But Juve could be willing to cash in at the end of the season as they plot a move for Real Madrid's Marcelo.

The Brazilian is eager to team up with his mate Cristiano Ronaldo at the Old Lady with reports suggesting his time at the Bernabeu is coming to an end.

And the Serie A champions will want Sandro off their wage books if they do manage to complete a deal to sign his international compatriot, according to Tuttosport.

They are set to face serious competition for his signature from both Real Madrid and neighbours Man City.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is already drawing up a transfer shortlist, strongly hinting that he's at Old Trafford for the long haul.

Signing defenders remains his priority as he eyes the back line as the weakest area of his squad.

Right-back Antonio Valencia is braced to leave the club this summer while Ashley Young turns 34 later this year.

United are also plotting a stunning move to bring Gareth Bale back to the Premier League.

Real Madrid are thought to be "exhausted" with the Welshman's lack of form and constant battle with injuries.
