Arsenal fans demand retrospective ban for Davinson Sanchez’s ‘stamp’ on Laurent Koscielny in Tottenham draw

ARSENAL fans are demanding Spurs' Davinson Sanchez get hit with a retrospective red for this 'stamp' on Laurent Koscielny.
And even Alexandre Lacazette retweeted a video which showed the Tottenham defender lashing out.

Sanchez appeared to kick the Arsenal captain deep into injury time with the score 1-1.

It was during a goalmouth scramble that the two clashed, with Sanchez apparently stamping his left boot into Koscielny as they got up from the floor.

Referee Anthony Taylor did not act over the flashpoint at the time - a move some branded "ludicrous".

And Koscielny did not retaliate when the studs hit his right shin.

But eagle-eyed Arsenal supporters - apparently backed by Lacazette - now reckon Sanchez should face retrospective action from the FA.

One said: "Should be a retrospective ban."

Another commented: "I would say retrospective action but nothing ever gets done."

One tweet read: "Hope the FA will be looking into this."

A fellow user posted: "Koscielny gets nothing because he doesn't react, if he screams and rolls there might be some kind of retrospective ban."

One viewer, who was not even an Arsenal fan, said: "Just disgusting. Retrospective. No idea why players didn't react."

The game finished 1-1 after Harry Kane netted a late penalty to cancel out Aaron Ramsey's opener.

If the referee saw the incident, decided no action needed to be taken at the time and includes it in his match report, then Sanchez is in the clear.

However, Sanchez's actions could constitute "violent conduct" not seen by match officials at the time but caught on camera.

In this situation, three ex-elite match officials review all the available video footage independently of one another and then advise The FA as to whether they believe it was an offence worthy of instant dismissal.

Violent conduct results in a three-match ban.
