MAURO ICARDI’S wife has denied suggestions that a move to Real Madrid is on hold because the Spanish club do not want to deal with her.
Wanda Nara, who is also the player’s agent, was responding to rumours that Real had not bid for Icardi because of her behaviour.
Speculation over the Argentinian’s future at Inter Milan persists after he was stripped of the captaincy at the club last month.
The striker reportedly refused to play in his side’s Europa League clash with Rapid Vienna the following day, resulting in him being left out of the next five matchday squads.
Protracted negotiations over Icardi’s contract prompted the row, with Nara’s public criticism of the club and her husband’s team-mates at the heart of the difficulties.
Nara has occasionally used her time on the Italian sports show Tiki Taka to voice her displeasure at Inter’s management and some of its players.

In February she told the programme’s viewers: "More than giving Mauro a new contract, I’d prefer Inter to sign someone capable of giving him five good balls in every game."
But the TV presenter and former model told that she was not preventing a potential move to Real.
She said: "That Mauro hasn't gone to Madrid because of me, as has been said in Spain, is false and we have a lot of respect for Real Madrid."
While the row continues, Icardi looks more and more likely to be leaving the San Siro at the end of the season, with Juventus touted as a potential alternative should Madrid’s interest wane.
Former Nerazzurri star Luis Figo has publicly called for the dispute between Inter and the striker to end, saying: “It's no good for the team, no good for the player and it's no good for the club.”
Icardi’s relationship with Nara was somewhat controversial from the start, as she divorced Icardi’s former Sampdoria team-mate Maxi Lopez late in 2013 and married the Inter star just a few months later.
It has been suggested in Argentina that the animosity against Icardi for the perceived ‘stealing’ of his friend’s wife is what has prevented him winning more than eight caps for the national side.
That’s despite his excellent scoring record in Italy, where he has banged in 133 goals in just 243 appearances for Sampdoria and Inter.
