Sinclair was targeted in the second half of the clash at Easter Road
A BOTTLE of Buckfast was thrown at Celtic star Scott Sinclair during the Scottish Cup clash with Hibs at Easter Road.
The missile was hurled at the Hoops winger as he went to take a corner.
TV cameras showed referee Willie Collum handing it to a steward before play resumed.
Sinclair was later pelted with a coin - at the same area of the stadium - as he went to take another corner.
Speaking after the match, Bhoys boss Neil Lennon said: "It's just got to stop.
"It's not just confined to one individual ground, it's all over.
"The players and officials and management staff should be protected - it's their environment that they entertain in.
"It's not on."
Celts legend Packie Bonner was stunned by the actions of the missile yobs.
He told BBC Sportsound: "I just don't understand it."
Aberdeen icon Willie Miller added: "It'll keep happening until the clubs take strict liability on board.
"It's ridiculous. They're talking about getting VAR into the game...we need VAR in the stands."
That prompted Celts supporters to throw a flare onto the pitch, leaving a black mark on the grass.
James Forrest gave the visitors the lead after the interval.
Scott Brown added a second in the 75th minute to put the visitors in the Scottish Cup semi-finals.
