The Pharaohs play Niger on March 22 in a Africa Cup of Nations’ qualifying dead rubber and travel to Nigeria for a friendly on March 26.

Flying to and from Liverpool and via Cairo this would have represented a 9,000-mile round-trip.

Salah will be given the chance to relax as Klopp’s men attempt to overhaul Man City at the top of the Prem and win the championship for the first time since 1990.

The 2018 PFA Player of the Year scored 44 club goals last season and has 20 this term.

Salah squandered a number of chances for the Reds at Everton on Sunday

But he wasted a couple of glorious chances to beat Everton in last week’s Merseyside derby and has notched just once in seven games.

Egypt flopped at last summer’s World Cup finals, finishing bottom of Group A with three successive defeats.

KEEPING HIS POOL Klopp hasn’t had Keegan moment yet but he looks a very fraught Messiah

Salah was expected to be one of the stars of Russia but struggled after an injury to his shoulder sustained in the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.

But the 26-year-old will be expected to be on top form in June and July when his countrymen host the 32nd edition of the African Cup of Nations.
