LAURENT KOSCIELNY fought on to guide Arsenal to victory over Manchester United yesterday after having a huge gash in his leg clamped together.

The Gunners captain was shown writhing on the floor in agony with blood coming from just below his left knee cap.

Koscielny hit the deck following a collision early in the second half.

He was injured after a coming together with United striker Romelu Lukaku and Arsenal keeper Bernd Leno.

Shkodran Mustafi appeared poised to replace Koscielny, but incredibly the 33-year-old played the remainder of the clash.
