MOHAMED SALAH has condemned the New Zealand attacks that claimed the lives of 49 people and left 48 injured.
Two mosques in Christchurch were targeted during Friday prayers, with a 28-year-old man identifying himself as Brenton Tarrant killing 41 at the Al Noor Mosque.
A further seven people were killed at a mosque in nearby Linwood, while another died in hospital.
Responding to the attacks, the Liverpool forward took to social media condemning the sickening act of violence.
Salah said on Twitter: "Dreadful news coming out of New Zealand this morning.
"My condolences go out to the families of those innocent victims who lost their lives in this act of pure evil.
Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko also sent out a message on Twitter to send his thoughts to those affected by the horrific events.
He said: "All my thoughts and prayers goes to the victims and their families for this terrible attack in #NewZealand."
Tarrant has been arrested and will appear in court charged with murder after live streaming the massacre.
Four more people have been apprehended by police for questioning.
