OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER reportedly plans to axe Alexis Sanchez, Marcos Rojo and Antonio Valencia this summer.

The Manchester United boss wants to offload the underachieving stars as he looks to secure his job on a permanent basis.

According to the , Solskjaer has made his plan of action clear to vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

He has also given him a list of players he wants to sign, but knows will have to sell some struggling stars first.

Sanchez is no longer in Solskjaer's long-term plans at Old Trafford and looks set to be axed at the end of the season.

The striker, 30, has scored just five goals in 41 games for the Reds since he joined from Arsenal in January 2018.

SunSport exclusively revealed that he might have to leave on loan because of his whopping £500,000-a-week wages.

Solskjaer is also planning to call time on Valencia's ten year stay as he has made just one appearance since he took charge in December.

United have not been willing to offer the club captain, 33, a new deal, but Arsenal could snap him up for free.

Rojo, who has not featured for the Reds since December, was the third name mentioned by the interim boss.

The club are reportedly willing to let the 29-year-old leave for free this summer just to get him off the wage bill.

He was given permission to train with former club Estudiantes in Argentina on his birthday this week.
