MANCHESTER UNITED midfielder Ander Herrera believes reports linking with a switch to join Paris Saint-Germain are "logical" as he approaches the end of his contract.

The Spanish midfielder - who has failed to feature for the national side since 2017 - has just three months left to run on his current deal at Old Trafford.

It was reported last week that the 29-year-old - who has been at United since 2014 - had agreed a new deal at the Theatre of Dreams.

SunSport then exclusively revealed that PSG were looking to nab the ex-Athletic Bilbao maestro - with the player understood to be in talks with Les Parisiens.

Thomas Tuchel's side are believed to be willing to offer Herrera a three-year deal at Parc des Princes, where he would pocket £150,000-a-week.

Speaking of the rumours to PSG, Herrera told : "It is logical when you have three months of contract and there are stop selections.

"I already knew something was going to come out. I take it as normal, I focus on playing football in the month-and-a-half that remains.

"The rest is left to my agent, both the possible renewal with United and if you talk to another club for my departure."

When asked whether he believes his time in England is coming to an end, Herrera replied by saying: "I do not go crazy with what will happen in four months, so I do not know if [this] stage is over.

"I enjoy being at the biggest club in England, the fans love me, they have treated me phenomenally and my duty is to listen to them, although I honestly do not know what is going to happen.

"What I see myself is trying to win at Watford next week. If things deserve it and if you are an honest and hardworking person, they arrive."

Herrera has featured in 25 games for United this season in all competitions - chipping in with three goals and three assists.
