Arsenal boss Emery wants a winger, left back and box-to-box midfielder as club plan complete summer overhaul
Gunners will have to replace Juventus-bound Aaron Ramsey and provide cover for injured Hector Bellerin
UNAI EMERY is planning a complete overhaul of Arsenal's squad this summer, according to journalist David Ornstein.
The Gunners boss reportedly set his sights on signing a winger, left back, goalkeeper and a box-to-box midfielder at the end of the season.
During an appearance on Sky Sports' Premier League Today, Ornstein predicted that Emery could make up to five signings.
He said: "They're definitely looking for a box-to-box midfielder to replace Aaron Ramsey."
Emery has been linked with a £13m move for Eibar midfielder Joan Jordan to replace the Juventus-bound Welshman.
He added: "They're still in the hunt for a winger."
Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli, who had trials at United, has emerged an early target for the Gunners.
Ornstein said: "They may be looking for a full-back to cover Hector Bellerin, and of course Stephan Lichtsteiner was only signed on a one-year contract.
"They have been linked with left-backs as well."
Bellerin was ruled out for nine months in January when he ruptured an interior cruciate ligament during a 2-0 win over Chelsea.
Celtic defender Kieran Tierney has been linked, but Arsenal would have to fork out around £25m to secure his services.
Ornstein added: "So there's going to be a heavy period of recruitment ahead potentially at Arsenal. They need to bring in a goalkeeper for Petr Cech."
But the cash-strapped Gunners could recall on-loan keeper Emiliano Martinez as a cut-price No2 to Bernd Leno.
