Inter Milan set to plump for Antonio Conte over Jose Mourinho in new boss hunt
Luciano Spalletti looks set to leave at end of season, paving way for Conte's return to Serie A
INTER MILAN are reportedly set to opt for Antonio Conte as their new manager over Jose Mourinho.
claims the former Chelsea boss will return to Serie A this summer to replace Luciano Spalletti, leaving Mourinho searching for work.
The Special One had been tipped for a stunning move back to Inter after winning the treble there in 2010.
Mourinho was axed by Manchester United in December and has since claimed he will be heading a new club come July.
However, it appears Inter is no longer an option for Mourinho, who also missed out on the Real Madrid gig following Zinedine Zidane’s return this month.
The Italians have instead turned to Conte, who won three consecutive Serie A titles as Juventus boss.
The former Italy national team gaffer also enjoyed success during two years at Chelsea, where he won the Premier League and FA Cup.

However, he has since been locked in a bitter dispute with the Blues over compensation after he was sacked at the end of last season.
Conte feels he is entitled to his full package, worth around £10m, as he still had a year left remaining on his contract and is fighting his case in court.
But Chelsea chiefs feel Conte sabotaged their project by falling out with a number of players including Diego Costa, which saw their market value drop significantly as a result.
