PHILIPPE COUTINHO is considering leaving Barcelona — with Manchester United keen on bringing the Brazilian back to the Premier League, according to reports in Spain.
In what would be one of the most unbelievable transfers in recent years, £145million signing Coutinho has clearly not sparked at Barca after being drafted in as a replacement for Neymar.
The 26-year-old has made friends with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, helping the Catalan giants march to the top of La Liga.
But he has not captured the imagination of the Nou Camp faithful, after being touted as a replacement for Andres Iniesta.
According to , Manchester United would be interested in taking Coutinho off Barca's hands.
But Barcelona want to make a move for Marcus Rashford in return, something many United fans — and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer — might not be able to stomach.
RASH SWAP OFFER
Barcelona are well known for their courting of players through the media and players' families.
And they went to great lengths to land Coutinho from Liverpool, to the extent that the player had to be withdrawn from first-team duties.
Barcelona have claimed that Coutinho has NOT been placed on the transfer list and they are happy with his levels of commitment.
But according to the Catalan publication, he is considering leaving the Barca for a fresh start and a new club.
