De Ligt deals Arsenal and Liverpool blow by hinting at Juve move
Ajax captain admits he could see himself moving to Turin this summer but adds there are other clubs interested in his services
MATTHIJS DE LIGT has dealt a blow to Arsenal and Liverpool by admitting he could join Juventus this summer.
The Ajax captain is one of Europe’s most sought-after youngsters after some fine displays in the Dutch capital.
De Ligt is believed to be a major transfer target for Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
While Arsenal and Liverpool have both expressed an interest in bringing him to the Premier League.
However, it seems Juventus may be leading the race for De Ligt’s signature.
The Italian giants will lose veteran defender Andrea Barzagli this summer.
While Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci are no spring chickens.
And De Ligt could be ushered in to forge a new partnership with Daniele Rugani, who has signed a new deal.
De Ligt himself has now opened up over links to Turin, admitting that it may be a hard offer to turn down.
Speaking ahead of Ajax’s Champions League clash with Juventus, De Ligt said: “I really like Chiellini and he is very strong, one of the best ever defenders.
