DENIS SUAREZ has cost Arsenal £840,000 in wages since joining in January - but has not had a shot or created a single chance in the Premier League.

The skint Gunners brought the Spaniard to the Emirates in January on loan in a bid to bolster their threadbare squad on a budget.

Denis Suarez has been less than inspiring since his move to Arsenal

Arsenal are paying Suarez, 25, £60,000-a-week for his services, but he has featured just four times - all off the bench.

Suarez is yet to start in the Premier League and has failed to make an impact of any kind during his brief substitute cameos.

The Spanish midfielder's only real performance of note came last month - in a mid-season friendly against Al Nasr - when he assisted a Carl Jenkinson goal.

Other than that, it's been a damp squib of 14-week stay in North London, costing the Gunners close to £1million.

Arsenal have the option to sign Suarez on a permanent, £18million deal this summer, but are now thought to be set to pass on the offer.

EMERY LOOKING ELSEWHERE

Boss Unai Emery wants to give Suarez every chance to adapt to the Premier League but believes the player is struggling to cope with the physical demands.

The Spanish chief is already planning for the summer and is stepping up his interest in PSG winger Christopher Nkunku and Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser.

The Scotland winger, 25, has been in superb form for the Cherries this season and has been tipped with a summer move away from the Vitality Stadium.

Fraser has scored six goals and added ten assists in his brilliant 2018-19.

And on the speculation, Fraser told Sky Sports: "I’m not going to lie, it’s very nice. It means you are are doing something right.
