TOTTENHAM stars Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Christian Eriksen and Davinson Sanchez are set for an emotional return to their former club Ajax in the Champions League semi-finals.
Alderweireld announced on social media that "boys are coming home" following yesterday's victory over Manchester City.
Tottenham have often looked for squad reinforcements in Amsterdam with Sanchez's arrival two seasons ago the latest deal the two clubs have struck.
And following Tottenham's heroics at the Etihad, they will now have a chance to pay their former club a visit.
The two sides will square off in the Champions League semi-finals, with Spurs travelling to Amsterdam on May 7.
And emotional Alderweireld was quick to point out Ajax can expect their former players soon.
He shared a picture from yesterday's game at the Etihad on Twitter, captioning it: "We are making history!"
Alderweireld then added "Ajax your boys are coming home," tagging the other former players of the Amsterdam outfit.
And the Dutch replied, sending a number of heart-eyes emoji.
All four of the Ajax boys played in the 4-3 loss to City, which fired Spurs to the Champions League semi-finals on away goals thanks to Fernando Llorente's late strike.
Vertonghen, Alderweireld and Eriksen started the game, while Sanchez replaced Danny Rose in injury time.
