The 34-year-old talisman has led by example this season notching 26 goals and 12 assists from 38 appearances despite not scoring against Fiorentina today.

An Alex Sandro diving header and a German Pezzella own-goal either side of half-time saw Juve come back from one down after Nikola Milenkovic's rebound put the visitors ahead on six minutes.

But Pezzella's 53rd minute own-goal from a Ronaldo cross sealed a historic day for Juventus whose women's team also won the title with a 3-0 win at Verona.

England's Eni Aluko sealed the win for Juventus Women whose title was their second on the bounce.

The close scoreline in the men's win tells the story fairly well as Massimiliano Allegri's men rode their luck throughout.

Federico Chiesa struck the woodwork twice in the first-half for the visitors and ex-Arsenal man Wojciech Szczesny had to make a late save from Bryan Dabo but as the final whistle blew, the title was on its way back to Turin.

Juventus looked set to claim the title for some time and established a unassailable 20 point lead over second-place Napoli with the win.

The title is Allegri's fifth at Juve but sixth overall having claimed glory with AC Milan in 2010-11.
