Arsenal fans ignore Emery plea to lay off Mustafi by slating flop defender in reply to news of Sokratis’ return
Sokratis back in action after two-game suspension and fans hope he comes straight in for Mustafi
ARSENAL fans have urged Unai Emery to axe Shkodran Mustafi following the return of Sokratis from his two-match ban.
The Gunners’ Greek commander has been banned for the last two Premier League matches after picking up ten yellow cards.
Sokratis sat out the tight 1-0 win over Watford and was also missing as Arsenal crashed to a shock 3-2 home defeat by Crystal Palace last weekend.
Replacement Mustafi had a torrid game as he was given the run-around by Wilfried Zaha.
Emery came to his defence after the game, insisting the German was being made a scapegoat by critics.
But Gunners supporters are hoping Emery makes an immediate change to his back line with Sokratis now fit and ready to play.
One said: “Goodbye Mustafi.”
Another wrote: “Thank goodness.”
One tweeted: “Send Mustafi home.”
Another noted: “Mustafi should not even make it near the bench tomorrow!”
One exclaimed: “Good news. That means no more Mustafi.”
Another added: “I don’t want to see Mustafi around the team. He’s a bad influence.”
