CHELSEA led the fury at Eden Hazard missing out on the 2018-19 PFA Team of the Year by venting their anger in an incredible article on their official website.

While the entire nation united in their confusion over the selection of Paul Pogba, the Blues appeared to feel the most aggrieved.

Despite Chelsea's woes this term, Hazard has been in typically incredible form, but still missed out on the Team of the Year.

Sergio Aguero, Sadio Mane and Raheem Sterling instead formed the talented front three - but supporters still believe Hazard, who was on the six-man shortlist for the individual award, deserved the nod.

Chelsea's article on their own site desperately tried to argue Hazard's case for inclusion following his "surprise omission" with a series of stats.

Fans were also fuming, with one supporter going into incredible detail, arguing his case on Twitter for the Belgian star's inclusion.

The tweet read: "Hazard in the Premier League 18/19: 30 starts, 29 G/A (Most), 16 goals (joint 4th), 13 assists (Most), 13 MOTMs (Most), 122 dribbles (Most), 89 chances created (2nd)...

"Most points won with G/A: 23 [and] bigger % contribution in team’s goals: 49%.

"Not enough for TOTY? 0 credibility @PFA".

SON, GINI, NEVES SNUBBED

Another claimed: "Eden Hazard is a genuine player of the season candidate and yet he's not included in this. Astonishing."

Meanwhile, Tottenham and Wolves fans have every right to be frustrated too with Son Heung-min missing out despite his incredible season, along with Ruben Neves.

Both Neves and Reds ace Georginio Wijnaldum have arguably had far superior seasons to Pogba - while Christian Eriksen and David Silva also missed out to the Frenchman.

Despite challenging for his second Golden Boot in a row, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was also snubbed from the XI.

The team was dominated by the two Premier League title contenders, with Manchester City boasting six stars in the XI, to Liverpool's four.

Here's how Twitter reacted to the interesting PFA Team of the Year - with Hazard the main topic of conversation.
