Ronaldo rifled home from a clever back-heel from Miralem Pjanic during Juve's 1-1 draw with Inter Milan.

The strike brought up club goal No600 - with the bulk of those being scored during his glittering years at Real Madrid.

Ron netted 450 times for Los Blancos - including scoring over 50 goals in six successive seasons at one stage - adding 118 at Manchester United.

The 156-cap Portugal international has scored 27 this season at Juventus following his £99m switch from Real - while scoring five as a youngster at Sporting.

Meanwhile, at the same time, Messi was in action for Barcelona - and he increased his tally to 598 for the career.

The Argentinian ace, 31, scored the only goal of the game as Barca clinched the defence of the La Liga title against Levante.

While Messi may be disappointed Ronaldo beat him to this particular milestone, he can sleep easy in the knowledge that he will have reached the tally far quicker when he inevitably does.

The Barcelona legend is just two goals of the target and has played over 100 games fewer - and is more than two years younger - than frenemy Ronaldo.
