Lumbering Arsenal players branded slower than ‘The Dead’ from Game of Thrones by fans after embarrassing Leicester defeat
Furious Gunners fans likened flops to The Night King's lifeless army
ARSENAL fans have compared their players to Game of Thrones' Army of the Dead after their humiliating 3-0 defeat at Leicester.
The Gunners dented their top-four hopes as they crashed to their fourth defeat in five games - and their supporters did not hold back online.
Youri Tielemans opened the scoring on the hour mark before Jamie Vardy secured the points for Leicester with two goals in the last ten minutes.
After Ainsley Maitland-Niles' 36th-minute red card, the Gunners looked abject for the remainder of the game which prompted comparisons with lifeless characters from George RR Martin's fantasy world known as 'White Walkers'.
One Reddit user posted: "I hope when the Night King is done with Winterfell he makes his way to Colney."
WHITE WALKERS
Clearly in agreement with the reference, another added: "The Dead moves faster than most of our players to be fair."
As a result of the defeat, Unai Emery's Arsenal have now conceded just two goals less than they did under Arsene Wenger last season - and their defence was subjected to particular criticism on Twitter.
Tweeting alongside a video of the White Walkers' leader, Kyle Martino said: "Defending like that, I'm surprised the Night King doesn't play centerback for Arsenal."

The Gunners are fifth in the Premier League with two games remaining.
They are two points behind Chelsea and four behind Tottenham - who lost at their new stadium for the first time on Saturday in a 1-0 defeat to West Ham.
