MANCHESTER UNITED have sent scouts to watch the ‘Turkish Messi’ Abdulkadir Omur.
The 19-year-old winger has been in stunning form this season, bagging four goals and seven assists to help Trabzonspor sit fourth in the Super Lig table.
His form has been attracting interest from a number of clubs, including Liverpool and French side Lillle.
But it appears United are at the front of the queue after scouting Omur during Monday’s 4-2 win over Kayserispor.
Trabzonspor chairman Ahmet Agaoglu sensationally confirmed: “Our players have been watched closely for a long time.
“Today, Manchester United and Lille scouts were at the game.
“It makes us very proud that Trabzonspor players are on the radars of the biggest clubs in Europe.”
It’s also believed United are interest in Omur’s 22-year-old teammate Yusuf Yazici.
The midfielder has scored three goals and created two others this season.
And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could make moves for both players as United look to hit the reset button this summer.
