FRANK LAMPARD was taunted by Leeds fans - then got denied a crucial late penalty in the bitter Spygate rematch.

Lamps’ side were trailing to Kemar Roofe’s opener but looked like finding a way back into the Championship play-off semi-final when Craig Pawson pointed to the spot for Jack Harrison’s challenge on Jayden Bogle.

But Pawson changed his mind after speaking to his assistant ref - leaving Rams players furious at the U-turn.

Leeds fans aimed chants at Lampard to the tune of Oasis song “Stop Crying Your Heart Out” for his part in the Spygate fall-out.

He was outspoken criticising Marcelo Bielsa for spying on Derby’s training earlier in the season.

But Bielsa looks like getting the last laugh after this first-leg win.

Leeds had more possession and Roofe’s goal came when Harrison curled a superb ball behind the Derby defence.

It was on a plate for Roofe to score his first goal since these teams last played and the spy row started.

Derby’s best chance came when Scott Malone crossed and Bogle could not get enough on the ball.

Now Lampard's men head to Yorkshire on Wednesday knowing they have to win to at least stand a chance of reaching Wembley for a shot at Premier League promotion.
